The Vanguard Collection has enhanced Nature’s Look, its natural wooden look luxury vinyl plank range, with the introduction of seven exciting new colours, improved sizing, and realistic embossed surfaces.

Nature’s Look, previously available in nine colours, is a glue-down luxury plank aimed at both residential and light commercial installations.

The Vanguard Collection’s decision to alter the appearance of Nature’s Look follows the latest market trends which now reflect the ultimate in natural authentic looking flooring. Nature’s Look’s seven new colours all feature an oak-type finish in a neutral shaded pallet and boasts a full IRE-registered embossed matt surface to substantially add to the planks’ realistic appearance. Previously Nature’s Look surfaces were merely textured to resemble wood and the individual planks’ surfaces did not follow the grain of the wood.

A new plank size is also among the facelift features. To add a sleek, longer and thinner look and increase the luxurious feel, 2mm-thick Nature’s Look planks are now produced in a slimmer width of 203.2mm and increased length of 1524mm. The longer planks are economical in that they provide improved floor coverage to add to the new design’s authentic appearance.

The Vanguard Collection, by offering the new version of Nature’s Look, felt that the days of LVTs being promoted and sold purely on affordability with design and aesthetics in second place are over. So, Vanguard set out to counteract the market’s ‘plastic-type’ wood-looking planks with a top-end product that closely resembles real wood – and offer the embossing advantage – throughout its colour palette. This was achieved while keeping pricing in line with the market’s competitive 2mm residential planks.

Nature’s Look superior quality and performance are highly competitive factors when it comes to light commercial flooring. The updated range is rated ‘heavy residential’ as well as ‘light commercial’ making it perfectly suitable for small offices and conference rooms, hotel rooms, and upmarket homes.

Launched two years ago with just four LVT ranges, The Vanguard Collection has continued to grow in both ranges and popularity.  To cope with increasing demand nationally, Vanguard has partnered with leading flooring contractors throughout South Africa who hold exclusive distribution rights in their respective regions.

Nature’s Look, as all vinyl flooring in The Vanguard Collection ranges, can accommodate underfloor heating of up to 27 degrees Celsius, and is waterproof and suitable for installation in ‘wet’ areas such as bathrooms and toilets. The planks carry ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification as well as the European Certificate of Approval. Abrasion-, slip-, and stain- and chemical-resistance are common features in all ranges.
